The ELUNO Fund honors the life and legacy of Rev. Fr. Enebechi Innocent Eluno, a Nigerian missionary priest remembered for his intelligence, humor, generosity, and frankness of heart.A member of the Class of 2004 at Ecole Théologique St Cyprian in Ngoya, Cameroun, Fr. Innocent devoted more than twenty-six years to serving the Church in Cameroon. He began as a missionary with the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and ultimately served as a diocesan priest in the Catholic Archdiocese of Bertoua.Those who knew him remember a humble and faithful servant of God who gave his life to Christ and to the people entrusted to his care. He died on June 2, 2023, his forty-eighth birthday.Through this Fund, his life of service continues: bringing dignified, confidential care to Catholic priests in Nigeria who need support in a difficult season.

The ELUNO Courage in Service Award honors a currently serving Catholic priest in Nigeria who has pursued restoration after a season of significant personal or emotional struggle and remains committed to faithful service.The award recognizes resilience, renewal, and the courage to continue. It may support rest, wellbeing, care, formation, family responsibilities, or other needs that strengthen the recipient’s continued service.Recipients will receive a one-time stipend of ₦150,000. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

The Fund welcomes confidential applications and nominations for eligible Catholic priests in Nigeria whose journey reflects personal restoration and continued service. Catholic priests currently serving in Nigeria may apply directly or be nominated by someone who knows their journey. All submissions are treated with care and confidentiality.
